System of strategic follow-up and ongoing assessment 2007-2013

The System of Strategic Follow-up and Ongoing Assessment for the ERDF, ESF and Cohesion Fund for the programming period 2007-2013 is composed of:

1) Strategic follow-up. It is defined in article 29 of Regulation (EC) Nº 1083/2006 and envisages analysis of the contribution of the programmes co-financed with the Funds to the aims of the Cohesion Policy. This strategic follow-up is carried out at National Strategic Framework Reference (NSFR) level by means of the conduct of two strategic assessments: one completed in 2009 (See 2009 Report in the Reports section) and the other to be carried out in 2012.

2) Ongoing Assessment. It is defined in article 47 of Regulation (EC) Nº 1083/2006 and entails an ongoing process of assessment of national Community priorities, either of a thematic nature or else with regard to the actual OPs.
