The Cohesion Fund is implemented on the basis of maintaining an appropriate balance between the trans-European transport network and the environment. Priorities have been established in both sectors: in the case of transport, the high-speed lines; in the case of the environmental sector, the projects for sanitation, supply and waste-disposal.
The projects are implemented by institutions and companies of the General State Government, the Autonomous Communities and Local Corporations.
