ERASMUS +

Erasmus+ is the EU programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe.

It has an estimated budget of EUR 26.2 billion. This is almost double the funding of the programme that preceded it in the 2014-2020 period.

For the period 2021-2027, the programme places particular emphasis on social inclusion, green and digital transitions, and promoting the participation of young people in democratic life.

It supports the priorities and activities set out in the European Education Area, the Digital Education Action Plan and the European Agenda for Skills. The programme also:

  • supports the European Pillar of Social Rights,
  • implements the EU Youth Strategy 2019-2027,
  • develops the European dimension of sport.

The Erasmus+ programme is administered by the European Commission (the EU's executive body), the Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency (EACEA) and a number of national agencies in the programme countries and some partner countries.
