The aim of the urban initiative (URBAN) is to implement the innovative urban regeneration strategies which, through an integrated approach including social, economic and environmental aspects, promoted sustainable urban development in accordance with the principles and strategic orientations of Community policies.
This action, provided with 344 million euros of ERDF aid, is aimed at municipalities with a de jure population of more than 50,000 and provincial capitals with lower population figures.
